Update Oct 2021:

Rest in peace Ronnie Pierce, I feel very fortunate to have played a full set with you and to be connected to the golden age of Jazz. These were very formative times for me and you brought the best out of my playing, I will never forget what this day felt like in the summer of 2010.

Ronnie played beautifully...

I was still working the kitchen at Ballard Care when we recorded this, Once the gig was over I had to run to the kitchen to start dinner service but Ronnie grabbed his check and let out a hearty laugh walking out the door. "It's to the gig, and loving it!" what an inspiration for the following years of my career.

I'd like to extend my love to the beautiful people and musicians of Seattle who took me in with open arms.

I had an offer to put together a gig with Ronnie for the residents of Ballard Care rehab/nursing home. what could have been a normal days work for all of us turned into a special performance. These tracks were recorded originally for sentimental value by my friend and band mate Marcvs Green with one mic and a pro tools rig, However upon listening we found that these tracks were good enough for my listeners to appreciate the authentic Jazz that comes out of Ronnie Pierce! For the rhythm section I chose the very talented Mat Muntz and Max Holmberg. We ran a set of deeply rooted classic standards in the Jazz and American music idiom.
